This learning opportunity allows participants to better understand practices that connect supporting positive relationships, engaging environments, intentionally planned social and emotional teaching strategies, and individualized interventions to enhance social and emotional competence of young children. Participants learn examples and concrete strategies for using recommended practices daily with young children and their families.
 

This course provides participants with access and support to engage with 18 hours of online e-Module interactive content. 6 additional hours of online reflective coaching will support individuals to self-assess, plan and implement strategies and practices in their early care and education work. A Reflective Coach will provide guidance on implementation of the strategies and practices and request evidence of implementation plans within a 3-month time period. All participants will receive information to create their login prior to the start date.




Participants will:

  • Work on course throughout designated time frame beginning January 11, 2021 and finishing March 22, 2021

  • Expect to spend a full 24 hours completing the online and coaching sessions

  • Receive a certificate of completion (after March 22, 2021)

  • Be eligible for Registry credit after completing both the e-modules and reflective coaching


In addition, participants must have reliable Internet access and a device that allows the ability to join web conferencing, video streaming, engagement to online activities, and document upload/download capabilities.

The training is designed for individuals who are able to pace themselves to confidently complete online learning modules independently within the specified time frame. 


COST:  No cost (the registration fee will be covered by the DPI IDEA Preschool Discretionary Grant)

NOTE: This training will be capped at 25 people to allow for rich discussion and interaction. If the session is full, please still sign up and you will be placed on a waiting list. If there is enough interest, a second training will be offered.
