Virtual Learning with Google Classroom

Virtual teaching or professional learning can be more organized, engaging, collaborative and interactive with Google Classroom!

In this workshop, participants will:

• use the features of Google Classroom
• make and share videos with their students using screen recorder Screencastify in conjunction with Google Classroom
• craft a virtual lesson
• use Google Meet or Zoom to hold engaging virtual meetings with their students

Participants will learn about these tools in a virtual learning environment similar to what their students will experience.
This workshop is for those who would consider themselves beginners to mid-level users of Google Classroom, Screencastify, or Google Meet/Zoom.

About the presenter: Mark Scheiber is an energetic presenter who engages his participants with demonstrations, real-life examples, and plenty of hands-on time with guidance to ensure that all leave with not only knowledge, but classroom-ready skills. He differentiates to meet the needs of all learners in his workshops.

Mark’s diverse background-director of instruction, technology integrator, library media specialist, gifted & talented teacher, district special education program support teacher and special education teacher - gives him unique insights into how to apply the knowledge and skills taught in a variety of situations. Mark holds Master’s degrees in both Instructional Technology and Administrative Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University.
